Rare original polychrome painting in perfect condition!

• Date circa 1870

• Width : 13.78 inches / 35 cm
• Magnificent and very rare polychrome floral decoration painted on a black background. The decoration, the gilding and the Martin varnish are in perfect condition (except for some tiny retouch on the Martin varnish)
• Beautiful enamel dial with roman numerals for the chapters and arabic numerals on the five minutes marks.
• Superb and probably unique gilded brass hands! exceptional work with excellent finish. The minutes hand has been repaired in the past. The alarm function is ajustable with a 3rd hand (made of blue steel).
• Very neat, original movement in excelent condition, quarter-striking and quarter-repeating.
• Original pinwheel escapement.
• Striking on two spiral gongs.
• Alarm function.
